Privacy

EAC is an information-only site. We do not sell anything, take bookings, or run advertising. As a result our privacy footprint is unusually small.

What we collect

On this site, in your browser: nothing. There is no analytics JavaScript, no advertising tag, no cookie consent banner because there are no tracking cookies to consent to. The only cookies the site sets are transient ones used by Cloudflare to mitigate denial-of-service attacks on the network layer.

Server logs: like any web server, ours records the requests it receives. The log contains the request URL, timestamp, your IP address as seen by Cloudflare, and the User-Agent string sent by your browser. Logs are kept for thirty days and used solely to diagnose technical issues. They are not shared with anyone.

What we do not collect

  • We do not run Google Analytics, Yandex Metrica, Plausible, Fathom, or any other analytics product on this site.
  • We do not embed Facebook Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other ad-network beacon.
  • We do not run AdSense or any other advertising on the site.
  • We do not maintain a mailing list and do not invite you to subscribe to one.
  • We do not embed third-party comment systems.

Third-party content

Some articles embed images we generated ourselves (using Ernie Image-Turbo or similar models on our own hardware), or photographs from public-domain archives (London Transport Museum, the Wayback Machine). We do not embed content from social platforms.

External links to TfL, gov.uk, museum collections, and other source sites: when you click them, you leave EAC and the receiving site’s privacy policy applies.

Cloudflare

The site is served via Cloudflare. Cloudflare’s network sees every request and may apply security checks (e.g. blocking known abusive IPs). See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details on their handling of network-level data.

Your rights

If you believe we are processing personal data about you and want to request access, correction, or deletion, contact us via the channel listed on the FAQ. We respond within thirty days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will change with it.
